Fresh labels can be exported to Australia from 2019

The mission visited two longan growing areas in Ben Tre and Hung Yen provinces and assessed the possibility that Vietnamese labels would be licensed for export to Australia in early 2019.

After the visit, the Australian Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources will have a review report and draft import conditions for this item.

This is good information for the Vietnamese fruit industry. Although Australia is an agricultural country, Vietnamese fruits exported to Australia are off-season, so it is able to consume at high prices in this market.
